Day 1 Join the direct flight to Vancouver. Transfer to your centrally-located hotel for three nights.
Day 2 Enjoy a great start to your Canadian holiday with our optional excursion to Vancouver Island and the famous Butchart Gardens, followed by a free afternoon in the island’s capital, Victoria.
Day 3 Today, take advantage of our optional Vancouver city tour and north shore excursion. This full-day trip takes in the city’s most famous sights including the Lions Gate Bridge, Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain.
Day 4 All aboard the Rocky Mountaineer! You’ll join the train in Vancouver and begin your fantastic two-day journey towards the amazing Canadian Rockies. As you journey along the Kicking Horse Route, you’ll see many natural wonders including the spectacular Fraser Canyon, the awe-inspiring Stoney Creek Bridge and the Mount MacDonald Tunnel, before arriving at Kamloops for an included overnight stay.
Day 5 Back on board the Rocky Mountaineer, we continue, via the legendary Spiral Tunnels to the beautiful resort town of Banff, Canada’s first national park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In Banff we bid farewell to the Rocky Mountaineer and transfer to our hotel for a three-night stay.
Day 6 Today you’re free to explore Banff or join our optional Banff Sightseeing Tour. This afternoon, try our optional helicopter ride over the incredible Rockies.
Day 7 Today we head for beautiful Lake Louise, travelling along the famous Icefields Parkway.
Day 8 Morning transfer to Calgary Airport for the overnight flight to the UK.
Day 9 Arrival in the UK.
Please note: this itinerary applies to departures from Gatwick and Manchester on 6, 20 September and 4 October 2007. Departures on the 13, 20 September and 11 October 2007 operate in reverse.
Departures from Glasgow spend two nights in Banff, followed by one night in Jasper, from where you will board the Rocky Mountaineer and follow the Yellowstone Route (with overnight stay in Kamloops) to Vancouver for a four-night stay. Departures from Manchester on 10, 24 May and June 2007 will also follow this itinerary.
Departures from Gatwick on 2, 16, 10 May and 13 June 2007 will spend two nights in Banff, two nights in Jasper and then board the Rocky Mountaineer and follow the Yellowstone Route (with overnight stay in Kamloops) to Vancouver for a two-night stay.
