DAY ONE:
Your holiday begins with selected early morning coach pick-ups for the journey to Dover/Folkestone for the 7.45pm Channel crossing to Calais. Alternatively, we offer overnight hotel accommodation close to port for those who would prefer. On arrival we then continue travelling overnight through France and Belgium.
DAY TWO:
Arrival at your hotel in Austria is in the mid-afternoon when you will be welcomed with a drink and have time to relax and settle in to your surroundings before sitting down to your three-course evening meal served in the hotel restaurant.
DAY THREE:
Depart after breakfast for our included full day excursion to the 'Sound of Music' city of Salzburg, in its lovely setting on the River Salzach. You will have the day at leisure to explore the many famous sights and attractions, perhaps visiting the Mirabel Gardens or the Hohensalzburg Castle which proudly stands 400 feet above the city. Step inside the beautiful Baroque-style cathedral and see the font where Mozart was baptised or visit the house where he lived. Arrival back at your hotel is in time for your evening meal.
DAY FOUR:
Following breakfast we depart for our full day excursion to Vienna, the elegant Austrian capital. On arrival in Vienna our city tour ensures that you get to see the main sights and attractions including the home of Johann Strauss, the Vienna Boys’ Choir, the State Opera and the famous Spanish Riding School. Following the tour there will be time to explore Vienna at your leisure before returning to your hotel for your evening meal.
DAY FIVE:
After breakfast you can join our fantastic optional excursion to see the very best of the Salzkammergut – Austria’s Lake District. This scenic excursion also includes visits to the beautiful lakeside towns of St. Wolfgang, St. Gillen and Mondsee. We return to your hotel in time for your evening meal.
DAY SIX:
Depart the hotel after breakfast for the return journey home, making an en route visit to Munich, where you can discover the delights of this historic Bavarian city with its modern flair and traditional charm. We then continue travelling overnight through Belgium and France.
DAY SEVEN:
Early morning arrival in Calais in time for the 5.30am Channel crossing to Dover/Folkestone. Upon arrival you will be returned to your original pick-up point.
