Your Holiday Itinerary
Treasures of Thailand

DAY 1:
Fly from your chosen airport to Amsterdam. Here you will join your connecting overnight flight to Bangkok.

DAY 2:
Morning arrival in Bangkok where you will be met and transferred to your hotel for a three night stay on a bed and buffet breakfast basis. This afternoon we include a city tour that features the Temples of the Golden Buddha and the Reclining Buddha. This evening, those who are still feeling energetic might like to sample the vibrant nightlife in Bangkok, ranging from classic Thai dancing, to the glitzy Patpong district that is definitely for the more broad minded!

DAY 3:
A day at leisure to explore more of Bangkok, offering a boisterous blend of colour, tradition, temples, superb shopping and excellent food. Perhaps visit the stunning Grand Palace with its glittering spires and beautiful gardens. Alternatively, join the first of our fabulous optional excursions - a tour up country to the Floating Market & Rose Garden. This evening we offer a unique opportunity to take a Bangkok Dinner Cruise down the Chao Phraya River, including a traditional Thai meal.

DAY 4:
This morning, enjoy more of Bangkok or join our optional Klong Tour & Grand Palace excursion, which includes a boat trip along the Chao Phraya River. This afternoon, you’ll have time at leisure, whilst this evening, we offer an optional Thai Dinner Dance including a traditional meal.

DAY 5:
Morning departure from Bangkok for Kanchanaburi for a two night stay. The drive from Bangkok is an interesting journey through the local countryside of lush jungle, rice fields and sugar cane plantations. You will have the afternoon at leisure, whilst in the evening, be sure to join our optional Night Safari Adventure and bathe with the elephants. This excursion includes a specially arranged Jungle Dinner.

DAY 6:
Our fascinating History of the River Kwai optional excursion includes a long-tail boat ride along the river, lunch at the River Kwai Family Camp and a visit to Hell Fire Pass.

DAY 7:
Today’s optional excursion will take you to the River Kwai and to the infamous ‘Death Railway’, a poignant reminder of where thousands of allied soldiers lost their lives in the Second World War. You will also take a train ride to Namtoke where we have included lunch. This afternoon we will transfer to Cha-Am for a six night stay. This evening, join our optional Hua Hin by Night excursion and visit the famous railway station, followed by dinner at a beachfront restaurant.

DAYS 8 - 13:
These days are at leisure for you to relax and enjoy the idyllic, tropical paradise of Cha-Am, where warm, clear waters lap the shores of white, palm fringed beaches. You will also have plenty of time to make full use of the resort’s extensive leisure facilities. Perhaps savour some well deserved pampering in the resort’s health club or sip cocktails by one of the three swimming pools. Live entertainment is included each evening.

A number of optional excursions are also available on these days to enhance your time in Cha-Am. Join us to visit Petchaburi Summer Palace, or take advantage of our Discover Hua Hin & Cha-Am tour.

In the late evening of day 13 we will transfer to Bangkok Airport for the return overnight flight via Amsterdam to the UK. (Please note that rooms have to be vacated by midday.)

DAY 14:
Arrival at the airport.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATION

Nights 2 - 4: Century Park Hotel, Bangkok

This 3* hotel, a firm favourite with Travelscope clients, is centrally located in the shopping district of Pratunam. Facilities include a swimming pool, gym, cocktail lounge, lobby bar and restaurants serving western and oriental cuisine. All rooms have private facilities, TV, air-conditioning, radio, mini bar and telephone.

Nights 5 - 6: Felix River Kwai, Kanchanaburi

The 3* Felix River Kwai Hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of the famous bridge. It is picturesquely set in exquisite natural gardens on the banks of the Kwai Yai River, with its lowrise buildings in perfect harmony with the surroundings. Facilities include Chinese and Thai restaurants, two pools, pool bar, nightclub, snooker room and a fitness centre with sauna and massage. All of the beautifully appointed rooms are fully air-conditioned with colour TV, telephone, refrigerator with minibar, radio, bathtub and shower. 24 hour room service is also available.

Nights 7 - 12: Regent Cha-Am Beach Resort, Cha-Am

The 3* Regent Resort boasts an excellent range of facilities in an ideal beach setting, including three swimming pools and a Jacuzzi, a choice of restaurants, 24 hour coffee shop, health club, squash courts, table tennis, badminton and cycle hire. Watersports are available on the beach, and there is a large shopping complex and evening entertainment to enjoy during your stay. All rooms have private facilities, air-conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, mini bar and balcony.
