Your Itinerary
Winter Luxury in the Majestic Rockies

Day 1 Make your own way to the airport for the direct flight to Edmonton. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel for a one-night stay. The vibrant capital of Alberta province, Edmonton is known as the ‘Prairie City’ and boasts an excellent range of shops, restaurants, museums and theatres as well as a lively nightlife.

Day 2 Depart Edmonton mid-morning and travel to Jasper in the heart of the Rockies for a two-night stay at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. At this time of year the dramatic landscape of mountains, lakes and forests in their winter splendour appears even more majestic.

Day 3 This morning’s included orientation tour provides the perfect introduction to Jasper and sets you up for further sightseeing at your leisure, in the stunning surroundings of Jasper National Park. This vast wilderness of broad valleys, rugged mountains, glaciers and fast-flowing rivers is the largest of Canada’s Rocky Mountain Parks and one of the few remaining places in southern Canada that is home to grizzly bears, wolves and mountain lions.

Day 4 A morning at leisure before we depart for beautiful Lake Louise for a one-night stay at Fairmont Château Lake Louise, known as the ‘Diamond in the Wilderness’. This magnificent resort enjoys a secluded location next to a turquoise lake, surrounded by towering snow-capped peaks and dense forests that provide one of the most spectacular landscapes in the natural world.

Day 5 This morning we depart for Banff for a two-night stay. Known as ‘Canada’s Pride’, Banff has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to Canada’s oldest and most famous National Park. In 1883, three Canadian Pacific Railway construction workers stumbled across a cave containing hot springs at the base of Sulphur Mountain. From that humble beginning was born Banff National Park, today one of the world’s foremost National Parks and a true wonder of nature.

Day 6 Make the most of your time in Banff with our excellent optional excursions. This morning, join a Banff sightseeing tour which includes a cable car ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain. This afternoon perhaps take a helicopter ride over the Rockies for exceptional views; not to be missed!

Day 7 A morning at leisure before the departure from Banff, making our way to Calgary via the Chinook Centre, the city’s largest shopping mall with over 200 stores including designer and high street names, department stores, a food court and restaurants. It’s the perfect opportunity for some last minute shopping for souvenirs and Christmas goodies to take home before we continue to Calgary airport for the overnight flight to the UK.

Day 8 Arrival in the UK.
