On the day the UK went smoke-free, Travelscope’s Operations Liaison Manager Jane Long had further reason to celebrate, as her daughter-in-law Jaime Long completed the five kilometre Cheltenham Race for Life in aid of Cancer Research in just 55 minutes.

Running alongside her Mother, who is recovering from cancer, Jaime’s completion of the race enabled her to claim £115 in sponsorship for Cancer Research, with Travelscope’s Managing Director Richard Ford adding £100 to take her final total to £215.

Over 500 runners entered the event, which took place at Cheltenham Race Course on 1 July 2007, a significant date that proved to be a success for both Cancer Research and the Long family.
