Savour the sensational sight of Holland in full springtime bloom and experience the world-famous Keukenhof Gardens at its colourful best. The popular Hotel Dennenhoeve provides a wonderful base, while an en route visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bruges, in Belgium completes this getaway.

Itinerary

Day 1 Transfer to port for your mid-morning crossing to Calais. Upon arrival, journey to your hotel in time for a three-course evening meal.

Day 2 After breakfast, join the coach for the included full-day excursion to the world-famous Keukenhof Gardens. You also have chance to join the optional lakes and windmills cruise; enjoy a morning cruising across delightful Dutch lakes before transferring to the Keukenhof Gardens for an afternoon of exploration. Located between Amsterdam and The Hague in Holland, these gardens are bursting with vibrant colour. The area comes alive with the seven million flower bulbs that are planted annually; it also offers swans, a windmill and meandering streams.

Day 3 Today, explore your surroundings, or you may like to join our optional grand Holland tour. Discover the city of Amsterdam, with its cobbled streets, glorious architecture and famous canals. Head to Dam Square, the city’s bustling centre, home to the Royal Palace and wonderful shops.

The tour continues through the most scenic parts of the Zuider Zee, to the pretty fishing village of Volendam; home to a harbour and quaint streets full of colourful wooden houses. Visit a clog maker and a traditional Dutch cheese maker. Return to the hotel, via Holland’s largest dyke, in time for dinner and enjoy a night of Dutch entertainment.

Day 4 After a traditional Dutch breakfast, journey to port, with an en route visit to Bruges (time permitting). Join your return crossing, and upon arrival you will be transferred to your original pick-up point.

Please note:
Days 2 and 3 may operate in reverse.
Passengers from the north of England or Scotland will take the overnight ferry crossing, departing the day before and returning to their original departure point a day later.
