We also offer overnight hotel accommodation close to port for those who would prefer this option. From Calais we continue to Bruges for a short visit, or you might like to experience a taste of traditional Dutch life with our optional excursion to Sluis. Admire the 14th Century Flemish architecture and enjoy great shopping opportunities. Later this afternoon, we rejoin the coach and continue our journey to your hotel in central Brussels, where you’ll have the evening at leisure. Day two After breakfast this morning, you will have the day to savour the many attractions of Brussels. Explore the charming cobbled streets, sample wonderful Belgian cuisine, take in famous attractions like the Atomium and the Manneken Pis, or soak up the atmosphere in the famous Grand Place. Perhaps relax with a drink at a friendly bar, such as The Raven, known for its impressive half-metre-tall, one-litre glasses, just waiting to be filled with the beer of your choice. Be sure to take advantage of our excellent optional excursion and explore the fascinating social history and culture of Brussels, by foot and coach. From Brussels, the coach continues to the beautiful city of Bruges, a Unesco World Heritage site famous for its picturesque canals and 12th-13th century square, quaint cafes and towering belfry. Be sure not to miss the local lace-makers as they sit in the open doorways to their homes along the back streets. Later this afternoon, we will travel to Calais in time for the 8.30pm ferry/Eurotunnel crossing to Dover/Folkestone. From here our coach will return you to your original point of departure. * Depending on where in the UK your departure and return point is, some pick ups may depart late evening on the night before departure and return early hours of the morning on the day after your return date.
