![]() Cuba: Havana and beyond itinerary
Day 2 Today you can enjoy a morning city tour. Take in the Havana Club Museum, Plaza de Armas, and the Hemingway Museum. Day 3 You have the day at leisure to relax or explore more of Havana. As well as being home to beautiful colonial buildings, historic squares and museums, there are plenty of open-air markets, arts and crafts stalls and quirky bazaars to browse. Perhaps you’d prefer to sit back and relax in one of the characteristic street-side cafes and restaurants dotted all over the city, or stroll along the sensational Malecón, seafront promenade. Day 4 Transfer to the picturesque valley of Viñales. Declared a Natural National Monument for its beautiful landscapes, you will have the unique opportunity to visit a tobacco farm, see a prehistoric mural and tour fascinating Indian caves. You’ll then head to Hotel Los Jazmines to see the amazing views of the valley surrounding you, before visiting the stunning city of Piñar del Río. Day 5 Today, we visit Las Terrazas, a self-sustaining eco community of nearly 1000 residents and home to a former coffee plantation. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Day 6 Transfer to Trinidad, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and check in to your hotel for a two-night stay. This afternoon, head to the Valley of the Sugar Mills, a beautiful valley surrounded by lush green hills and patchwork fields. Day 7 Spend the day in the Caribbean port city of Cienfuegos. Visit the Terry Theatre before seeing the Palacio de Valle and Jose Marti Park. After lunch at a local Cuban restaurant, take a boat trip out onto Cienfuegos Bay and visit the spectacular Jagua Fortress. Day 8 You have the morning at leisure in Trinidad before transferring to Havana airport for your return flight home to the UK. Day 9 Arrive in the UK early morning.
