Visit the sensational Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, home to most complete collection of Pharaonic treasures including those of King Tutankhamun. You’ll also visit the Great Sphinx of Giza; an iconic powerful image of a lion’s body with a pharaoh’s head, and the fascinating Pyramids; their creation is still a mystery to this day.
|
Youll be in safe hands as you snorkel in the warm waters of the Red Sea at Ras Mohammed Marine Park. Enjoy beautiful beaches and extraordinary coral reefs here, and see the colourful marine life up close and personal.
|
See the wonderful underwater life through the glass window of a glass bottom boat. The large glass window in the base of your boat will open an amazing window of colourful tropical fishes; all without getting wet.
|
Zoom your way across the Sinai Desert and experience Bedouin hospitality in a tent.
|
Visit the simplistic tomb of Prophet Job before seeing the biblical frankincense trees; this is one of only two regions where this tree grows wild, as it needs a very specific environment in which to grow.
|
Visit the centuries-old Jew Town, and the Mattancherry Palace, also known as the Dutch Palace; built by the Portuguese in 1555 for the Rajah of Cochin, it has Kerela murals depicting Hindu temple art and portraits. Youll also cruise the backwaters of Cochin.
With the famous rock rising abruptly from the waters, commanding the entrance to the Mediterranean Sea, there’s no cruise destination quite like Gibraltar, one of the fabled ‘Pillars of Hercules’.
This British island offers all the advantages of a foreign country, including terrific VAT-free shopping, yet all the familiarity of home. From well-known high street shops to traditional English pubs and beer gardens, Gibraltar really is unique.
Situated midway between Sicily and North Africa, the George Cross Island of Malta combines beautiful scenery and ancient sites. We will visit the islands historic capital, Valletta, with its steep narrow streets brimming with historic character and a vibrant culture.
Attractions here include an abundance of museums, churches, gardens and monuments. Visit the National Museum of Art, explore the beautiful Parish Church of St. Augustine, stroll around the Peacock Garden and see the Great Siege Monument.
Port Said is our gateway to the treasures of Egypt. Here you will have the opportunity to join an optional shore excursion to Egypts legendary capital city, Cairo. Visit the spectacular Pyramids of Giza, guarded by the awesome Great Sphinx, and head to the famous Egyptian Museum where you can admire the gold mask of Tutankhamen.
After cruising the Suez Canal, we arrive at Sharm el-Sheikh, renowned as a heaven for diving and snorkelling, with warm azure waters lapping an expansive beach.
This former port has always proved to be very popular with tourists, owing to its dramatic landscape, year-round wonderful climate and long stretches of natural beaches to relax on. There are many dive shops in the resort, catering for all levels of experience, giving you the opportunity to discover a wonderland of offshore reefs teeming with colourful coral and a myriad of fishes.
Known as the perfume city of Arabia, Salalah is one of the few places on Earth where the trees that produce frankincense grow. The frankincense is readily available to buy in the traditional markets. Make sure to visit the tomb of the prophet Job, which can be visited at nearby Mount Eiteen. The beaches and coastline are also great attraction for this destination, which offers activities such as scuba diving and bird watching.
The Queen of the Arabian Sea has long been a centre for international trade, reflected by the fascinating blend of cultures in this vibrant city. The exotic Mattanchery Palace, also known as the Dutch Palace, in particular reflects the citys close relationships with the Portuguese, Dutch and British. In contrast, the Jewish Quarter is home to one of the oldest synagogues in India.
The Dutch-owned Van Gogh combines a friendly, intimate atmosphere with a range of excellent facilities including a seawater swimming pool, fitness room, sauna, cinema and casino. Its spacious decks offer expansive views of the ever-changing vista, while a selection of comfortable bars and lounges offer a great place to relax after a great day of sightseeing, shopping or exploring.
