Fall colours of beautiful maritime Canada

Day 1 Join the flight to Montréal. On arrival transfer to your hotel for a two-night stay.

Day 2 Join our optional city tour this morning for an introduction to Montréal’s main attractions. The afternoon is at leisure, for sightseeing and shopping in Canada’s second-largest city. This evening, enjoy a taste of Old French Canada with our optional Le Festin du Gouveneur dinner show.

Day 3 Depart Montréal and travel to Québec City. The afternoon and evening are at leisure to explore this most European of North American cities, crowned by the impressive Fairmont Château Frontenac. Later, board ‘The Ocean’ for the overnight rail journey to Maritimes.

Day 4 Arrive at Amherst station in New Brunswick, then travel across the nine mile-long Confederation Bridge. At the foot of the bridge lies Gateway Village, where we will stop for our introduction to Prince Edward Island before continuing to Summerside for a one-night stay. This evening, sample the local cuisine with our optional lobster supper.

Day 5 Explore Prince Edward Island with a journey along the north shore coast of Canada’s smallest and greenest province. There will also be included visits to Prince Edward Island National Park, and the Green Gables Heritage Site, the inspiration for the setting of the classic novel, ‘Anne of Green Gables’. A visit to Rustico Harbour and the Prince Edward Island Preserve Company completes the day, before arriving in Charlottetown for a one-night stay.

Day 6 Depart Prince Edward Island by ferry for Caribou in Nova Scotia and onwards to the lakeside village of Baddeck for two-nights. Dinner and breakfast is included at Baddeck.

Day 7 Situated on the beautiful Bras d’Or Lakes, Baddeck is the gateway to the Cabot Trail, noted for its spectacular ocean views which can be enjoyed on our scenic drive today.

Day 8 Depart Baddeck via the Bras d‘Or Lakes and the historic colonial towns of Truro and Port Hawkesbury and travel to Halifax, the cosmopolitan capital of Nova Scotia, for a one-night stay.

Day 9 A morning drive to the attractive coastal town of Lunenburg, established in 1753 as the first British colonial settlement in Nova Scotia outside of Halifax. We then continue to Halifax airport for the overnight flight to the UK.

Day 10 Arrival in the UK.
