Your Itinerary
Follow the Fall Colours
Boston, New York & Washington, D.C.

Day 1 Join the direct flight to Boston. Transfer to your hotel in Lowell, near Boston, for one night.

Day 2 Visit Boston and join our optional city tour. Must-see attractions include Boston Common, Faneuil Hall, the Old North Church, and historic Beacon Hill. Later on, we head south to New York and our hotel for two nights across the Hudson River in New Jersey.

Day 3 ‘New York, New York’, so good they named it twice! A full day in the fabulous city. Shop ‘til you drop, ride to the top of the Rockefeller Center for the best views, and don’t forget our optional helicopter ride over Manhattan, or the city tour; taking in Central Park, Fifth Avenue, a drive by Macy’s and, of course, the Empire State Building.

Day 4 Morning journey south into Virginia, where we include a stop at the mighty Potomac Mills, one-stop outlet shopping! Onwards to the old town of Fredericksburg for a three-night stay. The old town’s 40-block National Historic District is filled with more than 350 original 18th and early 19th century buildings.

Day 5 See dazzling fall scenery against a backdrop of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, as we travel along part of the famous Skyline Drive and the Shenandoah National Park, a haven for deer and other wildlife. In the afternoon visit Charlottesville, a lovely old southern town famous for Monticello, the home of former President Jefferson.

Day 6 Today we offer a fascinating full-day tour to colonial Williamsburg, taking you back to see what life was like in the 18th century. This is an outdoor recreation where you can step back in time to the eve of the American Revolution, with more than 500 restored and reconstructed buildings spread across 301 acres of land.

Day 7 Morning journey to Washington, D.C., here we include a short optional sightseeing tour, including the White House and Capitol Building. Late afternoon, transfer to the airport for the return overnight flight to the UK.

Day 8 Arrival in the UK.

Fall Colours: as this tour covers quite a distance between Boston, MA, and as far south as Washington, D.C., it is likely passengers travelling on earlier dates will see more red/brown foliage in the north, whilst further south trees may still be green. Later departures will see more red/brown leaves turning in the southern spots whilst in the north the trees will have less leaves.
