Day 1 Your holiday begins with selected coach pick-ups and a journey to Newcastle or Rosyth for the overnight ferry crossing to Amsterdam or Zeebrugge with DFDS Seaways or Superfast Ferries. Take advantage of the excellent on board facilities and perhaps enjoy a buffet dinner before retiring to your comfortable cabin for a good night’s rest.
Day 2 After disembarkation, our coach continues through France to Germany, arriving during the course of the evening. Those who have pre-booked the meal package will enjoy their set three-course evening meal in the hotel’s restaurant.
Day 3 After your breakfast this morning, join our included excursion to two traditional Rhineland Christmas markets, from Bernkastel, Trier, Koblenz and Cochem, an enchanting mix of medieval town squares, fairytale castles and exquisite stalls resembling miniature gingerbread houses. Follow your nose and you’ll find hot chestnuts, spicy gingerbread, marzipan cookies and glühwein. Wander around the stalls to find toys, wood carvings, candles and many more heartwarming Christmas gifts. You’ll then return to your hotel in time for your included set three-course evening meal, if you have pre-booked the package. After dinner, there’s the opportunity to enjoy a fun-filled party cruise on the Rhine/Moselle.
Day 4 After breakfast, the day is yours to enjoy at leisure. Alternatively, you could take advantage of our exciting optional excursion to Rüdesheim and the Rhine Gorge. On arrival back at the hotel, the optional meal is served to those who have booked.
Day 5 After breakfast, board the coach for the return journey to port, arriving in time for the overnight ferry sailing to Newcastle or Rosyth.
Day 6 After disembarkation, you will be returned to your original pick-up point. Actual Christmas markets visited will be confirmed nearer to the date of travel and will be decided by the location of your hotel.
