Saksun & Ljósá

We leave Tórshavn and head to the village of Hosvik. Here we join a side road leading to Saksun, one of the most idyllic settings in the Faroes. Following the visit here, we drive to the island of Eysturoy, where coffee will be served (included in the price) at Eydnan House in the village of Oyrarbakki, before arriving at the attractive village of Ljosa, stopping at a viewpoint overlooking Tórshavn before arriving back at the quayside.

Jewels of the North

We’ll see the capital of the north, Akureyri, before heading to Godafoss: ‘the waterfall of the gods’. Next stop is Lake Myvatn, and see moon-like pseudo-craters at Skutustadir before a three-course lunch at a nearby leading hotel. After lunch, continue to Dimmuborgir. After passing through the village of Reykjahlid, return alongside the shores of Lake Myvatn to Akureyri, where we end with a short orientation tour of the city.

Godafoss and Laufás

Our tour starts with a drive, passing the Akureyri church, and on to the Botanical Gardens, which we’ll visit. We then cross the fjord and head to Godafoss, ‘the waterfall of the gods’. From here, travel through the wide-open valley Fnjoskadalur, to the Laufas Folk Museum, before returning to Akureyri with a pleasant scenic drive alongside the fjord.

Bathing In The Blue Lagoon

The tour starts with a drive through Reykjavik’s suburbs towards the picturesque town of Hafnarfjördur and through the rugged lava fields of the Rekjanes peninsula towards the Blue Lagoon: one of the most popular places to visit in Iceland. After having free time to relax in the waters or take advantage of the tax-free shop and café, our return journey back to Reykjavik will take us over the barren Reykjanes peninsula.

The Golden Circle

Travel to Thingvellir National Park, one of Iceland’s top tourist attractions. Your tour continues to Gullfoss waterfall before arriving at the Geysir area, where hot springs are in abundance. Here, a three-course lunch will be served at a nearby restaurant. Our return journey crosses Hellisheidi before stopping for photographs at Kerid, an extinct volcano. Arriving back at Reykjavik, we make a stop at the Pearl vantage point before the tour concludes.

Tórshavn, Faroe Islands

Located half way between Scotland and Iceland, the beautiful Faroe Islands, which actually belong to Denmark, are a haven for birdlife. As we approach you might be lucky enough to spot rare species such as guillemots, kittiwakes, razorbills and petrels. We will berth at Tórshavn on the southernmost top of Streymoy Island, recognised as one of the world’s smallest capital cities. .

Akureyri, Iceland

With a sheltered natural harbour within the Eyjafjordur fjord and a dramatic mountain backdrop to the south, Akureyri offers some of the best summer weather in Iceland, as well as fabulous whale watching opportunities. The town is famous for its Botanical Gardens, the most northerly in the world, which are home to impressive examples of Icelandic flora and many other sub-arctic species. For those wishing to enjoy the very best of Iceland’s dramatic landscape, Akureyri is a gateway to a number of stunning natural features close by including the magnificent Godafoss (Waterfall of the Gods), the unique bubbling mud pools and geysers of Namakard, and the breathtaking Lake Myvatn, noted for its moon-like craters.

Reykjavik, Iceland

Brightly painted houses and whitewashed buildings line the friendly streets of the world’s northernmost capital city with many art museums, theatres and galleries competing for your attention. Reykjavik is also filled with fascinating sights such as the Great Geyser at Strokkur and the Golden Waterfall at Gullfoss. Be sure to experience the incredible Blue Lagoon and bathe in mineral-rich thermal waters.

Located on the south shore of the Great Island in Cork Harbour, Cobh is a very pleasant seaport, with a beautiful neo-Gothic cathedral and historical harbour to explore.
