Bruges City Break
DAY ONE
Your holiday begins with an early morning coach pick-up and journey to Dover/Folkestone for the 10.00am ferry/Eurotunnel crossing to Calais. We also offer overnight hotel accommodation close to port for those who would prefer this option. From Calais we continue to Bruges and your hotel. After time to freshen up you will have the remainder of the day at leisure. Walk along the canals and winding streets to discover beautiful architecture, elegant buildings and fantastic shopping opportunities. You may also wish to visit the Church of Our Lady, home to a beautiful marble ‘Madonna and Child’ by Michelangelo - the only work to leave Italy during the artists lifetime. Alternatively head to Princely Beguinage of the Vineyard, an oasis of peace since 1245, and simply relax and watch the world go by.
This evening experience Bruges at night. Perhaps enjoy a delicious meal in one of the restaurants, head to a music bar or perhaps enjoy an evening of classical music, opera or dance at the Concertgebouw.
DAY TWO
After breakfast this morning, join the optional ‘Highlights of Bruges’ tour, designed to show you the very best of this beautiful city including entrance into Bruges Diamond House and the De Halve Maan Brewery. Later this afternoon, rejoin the coach for the journey to Calais in time for the 6.30pm ferry/Eurotunnel crossing to Dover/Folkestone. From here the coach will return you to your original point of departure.
Given the short duration of this tour and in order to offer a full itinerary your pick up times may be very early in the morning; likewise your return drop off will be late and possibly into the early hours of the next day. Final timings are confirmed with your joining instructions.
