Christmas in the Black Forest Itinerary from Northern Ireland
DAY ONE
Your holiday begins with selected
coach pickups and the journey to the port of
departure, for the 7.35am Irish Sea crossing to
Stranraer. On arrival we will continue to
Newcastle for the 5.30pm overnight ferry
crossing to Amsterdam with DFDS Seaways. Take
advantage of the excellent on board facilities and
perhaps enjoy a buffet dinner, before retiring to
your comfortable cabin for a good night’s rest.
DAY TWO
After disembarkation this morning, the
coach will continue to Germany where arrival at
your hotel will be in the course of the evening.
Your included evening meal will be served in the
hotel’s restaurant.
DAY THREE CHRISTMAS EVE
After breakfast,
join us on an optional Freiburg & the Rhine
excursion, where you are at leisure to explore.
In the afternoon, we travel to the second part of
this full-day tour; the ancient town of Breisach,
located on the River Rhine, where you’ll have
plenty of opportunity to see the beautiful sights
found here. We’ll arrive back in good time for
your four-course meal in the hotel’s restaurant.
Then to cap off a delightful day, you have the
opportunity to visit a local church for a festive
Christmas service.
DAY FOUR CHRISTMAS DAY
Enjoy your
breakfast and a morning at leisure. Later on, a
buffet lunch will be served, after which you have
the opportunity to join us on an included visit
to Strasbourg. Famed for its magnificent rose
coloured cathedral and the timbered houses of the
old town, this will be a Christmas you’ll remember
forever. On arrival back at the hotel, your
five-course Christmas dinner will be served.
DAY FIVE BOXING DAY
After breakfast
this morning, you will have the day at leisure
to explore the stunning local surroundings.
Alternatively, join our optional Black Forest
panorama excursion, taking in the many highlights
of this delightful region. Enjoy an en route visit to
Treiberg and Titisee before returning to the hotel
in time for your three-course evening meal.

DAY SIX
After breakfast, board the coach for the
journey to Amsterdam and the return 6.00pm
overnight ferry crossing.
DAY SEVEN
This morning, after disembarkation
in Newcastle, rejoin the coach for the journey
to port for the 7.50pm return Irish Sea crossing.
After disembarkation, we’ll proceed back to your
original point of departure.
