New Year in the Black Forest Itinerary from Newcastle
DAY ONE
Our holiday begins with selected early morning coach pick-ups and a journey to Newcastle for the 5.30pm overnight ferry crossing to Amsterdam with DFDS Seaways. Take advantage of the excellent on board facilities and perhaps enjoy a buffet dinner, before retiring to your comfortable cabin for a good night’s rest.
DAY TWO
After disembarkation this morning, the coach will continue to Germany where arrival at your hotel will be in the course of the evening. If you have booked our optional evening meal, you will enjoy a three-course meal in the hotel’s restaurant.
DAY THREE
Following breakfast, we visit Alsace’s capital, Strasbourg; a historic French city with cobbled streets and pretty canals. Strasbourg’s superb Christmas Markets offer a traditional selection of gifts and decorations, accompanied by sumptuous delicacies unique to this borderland region. We know you will be more than impressed with Petite France, Strasbourg's remarkable old town, with its beautiful timbered houses and canals, and giant Christmas tree at Place Kleber.
Arrival back at the hotel will be in time for your evening meal if you have pre-booked the package.
DAY FOUR, NEW YEARS EVE
After breakfast, why not join our optional excursion to the Black Forest town of Freiburg. This afternoon, spend time at leisure exploring the wonderful Rhine town of Breisach.
In the evening, you’ll enjoy an included three-course gala dinner at the hotel as you welcome in 2008.
DAY FIRVE, NEW YEARS DAY
Following breakfast, join our optional Black Forest panorama excursion, taking in many of the highlights of this delightful region. You’ll also visit Treibery and Titisee where you can explore at leisure. Later today, you’ll enjoy a three-course meal at the hotel if you have pre-booked the package.

After breakfast, board the coach for the journey to Amsterdam and the return 6.00pm overnight ferry crossing.
DAY SEVEN
After disembarkation in Newcastle rejoin the coach for the return journey to your original point of departure.
