New Year Rhine Cruise
Day 1 RÜDESHEIM / MAINZ
Selected early morning pick-ups and journey to Dover/Folkestone for the 10.00am ferry/Eurotunnel crossing to Calais. Alternatively, we offer overnight hotel accommodation close to port for those who would prefer.
On arrival in Calais, your coach will continue to the festive town of Rüdesheim, where you will join your cruise vessel. Arrival on board will be in time for your welcome drink and included three-course evening meal.
*Passengers taking the overnight crossing from the north of England or Scotland, will depart the previous day and join the vessel on day1 for dinner.
Day 2 RÜDESHEIM, KOBLENZ / ANDERNACH
New Year’s Eve: this morning, as you are enjoying breakfast, we will be making our way down the mighty Rhine to the fascinating medieval town of Koblenz. After lunch on board we have specially included a magical Moselle tour, which includes a visit to Cochem and a wine cellar.
Return to the vessel will be in time for your three-course evening meal. This is followed by a New Year’s Eve party night with live music. At midnight you will enjoy a glass of champagne to toast the New Year.
Day 3 KOBLENZ, COLOGNE / BONN
New Year’s Day: as you are enjoying breakfast, we will be heading downstream to Cologne, famed for its magnificent Gothic cathedral, Romanesque churches and many fascinating museums. After lunch on board we have included a sightseeing tour of Cologne, followed by time at leisure. Please note: only a limited number of shops will be open.
This evening we include a special New Year’s Day gala dinner, served in the vessel’s restaurant.
Day 4 COLOGNE / BONN
Bid farewell to our vessel and make an en route stop (time-permitting) at a hypermarket or wine warehouse before continuing to Calais in time for the 5.30pm Channel crossing to Dover/Folkestone.
Upon arrival, we will return you to your original departure point.
