Ostend, Bruges & Valkenburg’s Christmas Markets
DAY ONE Your holiday begins with selected coach pick-ups, and a journey to Dover/Folkestone for the 10.00am Channel crossing to Calais. Alternatively, we offer overnight hotel accommodation close to port for those who would prefer. After disembarkation, our coach continues to Belgium for our included visit to the pretty Flemish city of Bruges. There will be time at leisure to visit the Christmas Markets, or to explore the picturesque cobbled streets and ancient canals before travelling to the hotel. Those who have pre-booked the evening meal will be served in the hotel’s restaurant.
DAY TWO Following breakfast, board our coach for a full-day included excursion to the popular Dutch town of Valkenburg. Come with us underground to the famous Christmas Markets held in a network of caves running beneath the town (nominal entrance fee to caves not included). Here you’ll find an array of candlelit stalls filled with Christmas crafts. Afterwards, join our optional afternoon excursion across the border to the German city of Aachen.
DAY THREE After breakfast our coach will depart for our third included visit, to the Christmas Market in the coastal town of Ostend. You’ll have time to explore the terrific Christmas shopping opportunities, discover the splendid decorations and taste those sumptuous fresh, creamy Belgian chocolates. Our coach will then continue to Calais, stopping at a wine warehouse/hypermarket en-route (time permitting) before arriving in time for the return 5.45pm Channel crossing to Dover/Folkestone. Upon arrival, we will return you to your original departure point.
Please note: this itinerary may operate in reverse. All timings are correct at time of publish, but may be subject to change. Depending upon actual crossing times allocated it is possible coach pick-ups will be in the late evening of the previous day and coach drop-offs will be in the early morning of the following day.
