Royal Crown & The Peaks
This full day tour has been specially arranged to show you the very best that this spectacular region has to offer. We will visit The Royal Crown in Derby where you will have the opportunity to admire the vast collection of pieces in the museum, including examples of the special regency design china that marks the 2005 film ‘Pride and Prejudice’. We will then sample some of the prettiest towns and villages of the Peak District and enjoy a way of life far removed from the hustle and bustle of our modern lives. Wander around Bakewell, widely recognised as one of the prettiest market towns in England, and discover its fascinating shops and beautiful riverside walks before relaxing in a café with some famous bakewell pudding. We will then continue to Buxton, at the heart of the Peak District National Park. Here you will have time at leisure to admire the beautiful buildings, dating from Buxton’s heyday as a fashionable spa town, including the Crescent, the Thermal Baths and Buxton Opera House. As well as free time in Bakewell and Buxton you will enjoy a picturesque journey through the Peaks before returning to your hotel.
