Our holiday includes a visit to the celebrated Christmas Markets in the Tyrolean capital of Innsbruck. Wander around the abundance of stalls and shops, all beautifully decorated and laden with intricate handicrafts, delicious local specialities and charming decorations, all making unique presents. There will be time to discover the city’s rich history, reflected in the fine buildings of the perfectly preserved Old Town, the celebrated ‘Little Golden Roof’, and St. James’ Cathedral. Also included is a visit to the ‘Sound of Music’ city: Salzburg. Here you can wander through Austria’s largest Christmas market, past seasonal stalls, accompanied by the sound of festive cheer and enjoy its delightful picturesque streets. Visit the grand Hohensalzburg Castle, which stands 400ft above the town, and explore the city’s spacious squares, sculptured fountains, noble architecture and the extraordinary Glockenspeil clock.
