Your Itinerary
Summertime in Bavaria
Day One:
Your holiday begins with early morning coach pick-ups for the journey to Dover/Folkestone for the 7.00am ferry crossing to Calais. Alternatively, we offer overnight hotel accommodation close to port for those who would prefer. Continue through France and to your hotel in Germany where you can settle in to your surroundings before enjoying your three course meal, if you have booked the package. You can then enjoy the remainder of the evening at leisure.
Day Two:
Following breakfast we depart for Nuremberg where you will have the morning at leisure to explore this famous city with its many buildings of historic interest including Nuremberg Castle and St. Sebald’s Church. This afternoon we rejoin the coach for the journey to Bamberg, where you can take in the sights of this perfectly-preserved town with its churches, monuments, museums and bridges as well as perhaps enjoy a taste of some of the huge varieties of beer brewed here. Later this evening we will return to the hotel, where those who have pre-booked the set meal package will be served in the hotel’s restaurant.
Day Three:
After breakfast the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure. Alternatively you may wish to join our optional excursion to the lovely university city of Heidelberg, famous for its distinctive pink sandstone castle and beautifully landscaped gardens. This evening, you will enjoy a three-course meal in the hotel’s restaurant if you have pre-booked the package.
Day Four:
Depart after breakfast for the return journey to Calais for the 7.15pm ferry crossing to Dover/Folkestone. Upon arrival you will be returned to your original pick-up point.
