Switzerland & the Black Forest
Day One:
Your holiday begins with selected early morning coach pick-ups and a journey to Belfast port for the 7.40am Irish Sea crossing to Stranraer/Cairnryan. Upon arrival, rejoin the coach for the journey to Newcastle and the 5.30pm overnight ferry sailing to Amsterdam with DFDS Seaways. Once on board you will be at leisure to explore the vessel's many excellent facilities before retiring to your cabin for a
good night’s rest.
Day Two:
On arrival in Amsterdam the coach continues through Holland to Germany, arriving at your hotel in the Black Forest in the evening. After time to freshen up, those who have pre-booked the set meal package will be served in the hotel’s restaurant.
Day Three:
Following breakfast this morning, join our enchanting optional excursion to Strasbourg and along the Alsace Wine Route. Arrival back at the hotel will be in time for your three-course evening meal, if you have booked the package.
Day Four:
After breakfast, join our included visit to Switzerland and the Rhine Falls, as well as the pretty medieval town of Stein-am-Rhein. On the return journey we cross beautiful Lake Constance and visit the remarkable sub-tropical island of Mainau
Day Five:
Today, be sure to take advantage of our optional ‘Black Forest Panorama’ excursion, taking you to see the highlights of this delightful region.
Day Six:
After breakfast, it’s time to join the coach for the journey home, stopping en route in the Rhineland area of Germany, where overnight accommodation has been arranged on a bed and breakfast basis.
Day Seven:
Following breakfast rejoin the coach for the journey through Germany and into Holland, arriving at port in time for the return 6.00pm overnight ferry sailing to Newcastle.
Day Eight:
This morning, disembark in Newcastle and rejoin the coach for the journey to port for the return 7.50pm Irish Sea crossing. After disembarkation, we’ll proceed to your original departure point.
