Valkenburg's Christmas Markets Cruise
Day 1 LIÈGE
Selected early morning coach pick-ups and a journey to Dover/Folkestone for the 8.30am ferry/ Eurotunnel crossing to Calais. Alternatively, we offer overnight hotel accommodation close to port for those who would prefer. From here, our coach continues to Belgium arriving at Liège where you will join your cruise vessel in time for the optional three-course evening meal.
Those taking the air option will fly direct from the UK and transfer to the vessel.
*Passengers taking the overnight crossing from the north of England or Scotland, will depart the previous day and join the vessel on day 1.
Day 2 LIÈGE, MAASTRICHT
As you are enjoying breakfast, the vessel will begin her cruise of the River Meuse to Maastricht. From here, an included transfer by coach takes you to Valkenburg’s Christmas markets, which offer excellent shopping and great gift ideas in the famous candlelit caves (nominal entrance fee not included).
Day 3 MAASTRICHT, ROERMOND
After breakfast we will cruise to the village of Roermond* where you can join our optional excursion to the fascinating 2000-year-old city of Cologne, complete with fantastic Christmas markets. This evening we will be berthed in Roermond, where you will have free time.
Day 4 ROERMOND
We travel to Bruges for last-minute shopping and before continuing to Calais for the 5.45pm Channel crossing to Dover/Folkestone. Upon arrival, we will return you to your original departure point.
Those taking the air option will transfer directly to the airport for the return flight to the UK.
Depending on the date of your cruise, the order of these berthing places may be reversed and may include an overnight stay in Venlo instead of Liège.
*Passengers returning on the overnight crossing to the north of England or Scotland, will transfer to the departure port and arrive in the UK the next day.
