 Holland & the best of the Bulbfields river cruise itineraryDay 1 Amsterdam Selected early morning coach pick-ups and a journey to Dover/Folkestone for the 8.15am ferry/Eurotunnel crossing to Calais. Alternatively, join at port or at the Holiday Inn Ashford North. From here, our coach continues to Amsterdam where you will join your cruise vessel in time for your welcome drink and included three-course evening meal. Those taking the air option will fly direct to Amsterdam and transfer to the vessel. Passengers taking the overnight crossing from the north of England or Scotland, will depart the previous day and join the vessel on Day 1 for dinner. Day 2 Amsterdam - Utrecht - Dordrecht After breakfast, join the included excursion to Keukenhof Gardens (entrance fee included), where acres of beautifully landscaped gardens form the biggest bulb show on earth, with irises, lilies and tulips clustered like jewels among fountains, windmills and ancient woodlands. Return to the vessel in Utrecht in the mid afternoon for an unhurried cruise past the village of Kinderdijk, offering fantastic views of the array of windmills, awarded Unesco World Heritage status in 1997, and great photo opportunities. During your included evening meal on board, we will arrive at Holland’s oldest town, Dordrecht. The evening is free to explore Dordrecht. Day 3 Dordrecht - Amsterdam Following breakfast we cruise south into the Rhine Delta, through Rotterdam harbour, the largest in the Europe, to experience the vibrant wharves and docks Rotterdam is so famous for. On arrival, join the optional tour to the historic town of Delft, which includes a visit to the Royal Delft Porcelain Works, home of the Delft Blue pottery, and a canal boat cruise. We will rejoin the vessel in Utrecht for a dinner cruise to Amsterdam. Round the evening off in style by joining our optional sparkling city cruise. Day 4 Amsterdam Bid farewell and travel to Ypres for an en route visit, before continuing to Calais for the 5.45pm Channel crossing to Dover/Folkestone. Upon arrival, we will return you to your original departure point. Those taking the air option will transfer directly to the airport for the return flight to the UK. Flight time permitting you may have time at leisure in Amsterdam. Passengers returning on the overnight crossing to the north of England or Scotland, will transfer to the departure port and arrive in the UK the next day. Timings are correct at time of publish but may be subject to change. Final timings will be confirmed with your joining instructions.
