Innsbruck & Mayrhofen

This excursion begins with a nostalgic train journey on the Ziller Bahn Railway, travelling through the picturesque Ziller Valley. Arrive at the famous alpine village of Mayrhofen, where you will have time at leisure, or perhaps take the cable car up to the Penken and admire the spectacular panorama of the Zillertaler Alps. This excursion also includes a visit to the Olympic city and Tyrolean capital of Innsbruck, famed for its perfectly preserved Old Town.

Innsbruck is located on the southern slopes of the Alps and has a rich history, reflected by fine architecture such as the Helblinghaus; a delightful house with a Rococo facing, and St James’s Cathedral. Walk down the Maria-Theresien-Strasse and take in the inspiring view of the Karwendel mountain range, whose rocky crown rises high above the town.
