Travel insurance is vital these days, which is why we have enlisted leading experts Holiday Extras to arrange a policy especially for our clients. The policy is underwritten by Europ Assistance, who are authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.

We know that even the very best laid plans can go wrong due to unforeseen circumstances, and nobody wants to be out of pocket because of illness, accident or loss of luggage. This is why insurance is compulsory on all of our overseas holidays. Our own policy offers excellent protection in the event of delay, cancellation, illness or loss of belongings. And it offers peace of mind, as in the event of an emergency, there is a 24 hour helpline to assist in making the necessary arrangements, wherever you are. We have carefully developed the policy over a number of years, especially to meet the needs of Travelscope clients. Although competitively priced, should you find an apparently cheaper alternative, please carefully compare the level of cover offered, so you don't run the risk of being under-insured.

Here is a brief summary of our cover, which starts as soon as payment is received.

Full details of the policy will be sent with your confirmation invoice. You may return your policy within 14 days if you find it does not meet your needs, in which case you will receive a full refund of your premium (if you have not travelled or made a claim).

Our policy is especially designed for Travelscope customers

Unlike some policies, this insurance does not specifically exclude coverage either on grounds of age, or in respect of pre-existing medical conditions. However, for certain conditions, you may be asked to provide more details to ascertain whether cover can be provided. For cover to apply, you must have lived in the UK, Republic of Ireland or Gibraltar for at least the last 12 months, and be registered with a doctor there.

Excess Waiver - avoid deductions from your claim. As with all insurance policies, an excess is deducted from each separate part of any claim. This can quickly mount up to a significant sum. If you take out excess waiver at the same time as booking insurance with us, successful claims will be paid in full.

Children, 11 years & under, are insured at half the adult price and infants (under 2 years) are insured absolutely FREE! Details shown here are valid for insurance issued up to 31 December 2007 and for holidays departing on or before 31 October 2008.

After You’ve Made Your Booking

• After taking your booking, we will send you a Confirmation/Invoice. It is your responsibility to check this document carefully and call us directly if you have any queries. Any special requests that you have made should be stated on this invoice.
• Please note that the Balance Due date is stated on your Confirmation/Invoice – no further reminder will be sent to you. We do not issue receipts for balance payments.
• You will receive your Holiday Itinerary and Joining Instructions approximately 7 days prior to departure.
