Italian Dolomites |

Fringed by scented pine forests and lush
green meadows, the Italian Dolomites
are one of Europe’s greatest natural
attractions. Explore its rustic alpine
villages, ancient castles and picturesque
towns; all set against a backdrop of
jutting peaks and proud plateaux.
Itinerary
Day 1 Transfer to port and join the early morning
crossing to Calais. Travel across France and
into Germany, staying in the city of Karlsruhe, or
similar, for the night.
Day 2 After breakfast, head to Stuttgart and
Ulm, stopping in Augsburg, one of Germany’s
oldest cities, for a short time. Continue towards
Austria, over the spectacular Brenner Pass, into
the mountains of Italy and to Castello di Fiemme,
located in the magnificent Dolomites region. Arrive
in time for an included dinner.
Day 3 Following breakfast, you have the day at
leisure. Alternatively, join our optional Dolomites
panorama excursion. Visit the town of Predazzo,
located in the heart of the Dolomites. Continue up
to the highest peak, Marmolada, where there’ll be
time for lunch or a cable car ride. Return to your
hotel via the historic town of Cavalese.
Day 4 Today is at leisure, alternatively join our
full-day tour to Venice. One of the most romantic
cities in the world, Venice has tiny islands and a
spider’s web of romantic bridges and canals, it is
also home to Doge’s Palace, the spectacular
St. Mark’s Square and the Grand Canal.
Day 5 Today we include a visit to Lake Garda,
one of the most popular spots in Italy. First we visit
Malcesine; a charming town clustered around
a 1 th century castle, perched on the slopes of
Mount Baldo. We then continue to Bardolino;
home to light red wines of the same name.
Day 6 Travel east to Lake Constance, on the
border of Austria, Switzerland and Germany,
driving into the charming Lindau Island whose
harbour has stunning views of the lake. This
afternoon, admire the scenery of vine-clad hills
and fruit trees, before travelling to the enchanting
Black Forest, land of the cuckoo clock and Black
Forest Gateau, spending the night in
Offenburg-Albersbösch, or similar.
Day 7 After breakfast, travel to Calais for an
early evening crossing, transferring to your
original pick-up point upon arrival.

Please note Passengers from the north of England or Scotland will take the overnight ferry crossing, departing the day before and returning to their original departure point a day later.
