Day 1 Your holiday begins with selected coach pick-ups and a journey to Newcastle/Rosyth for the overnight ferry crossing to Amsterdam/ Zeebrugge with DFDS Seaways or Superfast Ferries. Take advantage of the excellent on board facilities and perhaps enjoy a buffet dinner before retiring to your comfortable cabin.
Day 2 We continue to the pretty Flemish city of Bruges, Europe’s finest medieval city. There will be time here to visit the Christmas markets, or explore the picturesque cobbled streets and ancient canals, before travelling on to the hotel. This evening, those who have pre-booked the set meal package will be served in the hotel’s restaurant.
Day 3 Following breakfast, board our coach for a full-day included excursion to the popular Dutch town of Valkenburg. Come with us underground to the famous Christmas markets held in a network of caves that run beneath the town (nominal entrance fee to caves not included). Here you’ll find a vast array of candlelit stalls filled with Christmas crafts and souvenirs. Afterwards join our optional afternoon excursion to the medieval German city of Aachen.
Day 4 After breakfast, our coach will depart for our third included visit; to the Christmas market in the coastal town of Ostend. You’ll have time to make the most of the terrific Christmas shopping opportunities, discover the splendid decorations and taste those sumptuous Belgian chocolates. Drag yourself away from the irresistible bargains and you’ll find art museums, neo-Gothic architecture and excellent restaurants. Our coach will then continue to Amsterdam for the return overnight ferry crossing to Newcastle with DFDS Seaways. Those travelling with Superfast Ferries will enjoy an optional excursion to Brussels and Antwerp. On arrival back at the hotel, the optional meal is served to those who haved booked.
Day 5 After disembarkation in Newcastle, you will be returned to your original pick-up point. Those travelling with Superfast Ferries will enjoy an included visit to Ostend and the Christmas Markets before rejoining the coach for the journey to port for the overnight ferry crossing to Rosyth with Superfast Ferries.
Day 6 After disembarkation in Rosyth, you will be returned to your original pick-up point.
