 Ostend party break itineraryDay one Your holiday begins with selected early morning pick-ups and a journey to Dover/Folkestone for the 10.00am ferry/Eurotunnel crossing to Calais. Alternatively, we offer overnight hotel accommodation close to port for those who would prefer. Upon disembarkation, we’ll continue into Belgium and your hotel in central Ostend for a two-night stay. After settling in, enjoy time at leisure to discover the many charms of this seaside resort, once an exclusive playground for high-rollers and royalty. This evening enjoy the evening meal followed by entertainment at the hotel. Day two After breakfast at the hotel, join the coach for the optional excursion to Brussels and Bruges. Later on, after your included evening meal at the hotel, there’s a full bill of entertainment, with included beer, house wine and soft drinks.* Day three After breakfast, join the coach for the return journey, stopping in Ypres for an en route visit. Purchase sublime Belgian chocolate or exquisite lace in one of the shops beneath the gabled guild houses along the Grote Markt, the main central square. Here you’ll also find the stunning Gothic Lakenhalle (Cloth Hall), where the moving In Flanders Fields museum is located, testimony to Ypres’ heavy involvement in World War One. If you have time, perhaps visit the impressive Menin Gate monument, the most visited memorial on the Western Front. From Ypres we begin the journey homeward to Calais in time for the return 5.45pm ferry/Eurotunnel crossing to Dover/Folkestone. Upon arrival, we will return you to your original departure point. In order to offer a full itinerary your pick up times may be very early in the morning or the previous evening; likewise your return drop off will be late and possibly into the early hours of the next day.
