Your Itinerary

Day 1 - Flight to Latvia. Transfer to your hotel in Riga.

Day 2 - Enjoy a city tour of Riga including the magnificent cathedral. This afternoon join our optional excursion to Rundale Palace.

Day 3 - This morning visit the Occupation Museum and learn about Latvia’s history from WWII through to independence. Continue to the Lido Recreation Centre, a huge chalet-style building, home to traditional arts and crafts shops, famous LIDO beer and delicious sweet shops. Transfer to seaside resort of Jurmala

Day 4 - After breakfast, join our optional excursion to Mežotne Palace and Bauska.

Day 5 - Transfer to Riga Airport for return flight home.

Rundale Palace

Experience Latvia’s beautiful countryside on this half-day trip to the magnificent Rundale Palace. The most beautiful example of Baroque architecture in Latvia, it was once the summer residence of the Duke of Courland and was created by Italian architect F. B. Rastrelli, who famously designed St Petersburg’s ornate Winter Palace. The epitome of luxury, the palace interior is adorned by crystal chandeliers, silk wallpaper, rich stucco moulding and some of the country’s finest collections of paintings and frescos.

Mezotne Palace & Bauska
Price - £23
Set on the banks of the River Lielupe and surrounded by extensive parks and landscaped gardens, this beautiful neoclassical palace was presented by the Russian Empress Catherine II to the governess Charlotte von Lieve. We continue to Bauska a small picturesque village in the heart of the Latvian countryside, home to Bauska Castle.
