The winner of that round will meet Uruguay as the American representative.

Uruguay have been to the World Cup before but not the other two.

The team to go to France in September will not be decided till the last Saturday in March.

The schedule of matches is as follows:

13 January: Morocco vs Portugal in Casablanca
27 January: Portugal vs Morocco in Lisbon

The winner of these two rounds, if necessary decided by points for and against, then plays Uruguay, also home and away.

18 March: Uruguay will play in either Casablanca or Lisbon
24 March: Uruguay will play in Montevideo.
