Salzburg & Austria's Christmas Markets

DAY ONE Our holiday begins with selected coach pick-ups and a journey to Dover/Folkestone for the 7.45pm ferry/Eurotunnel crossing to Calais. Upon arrival our coach will continue through France and Germany. Remember, we offer overnight accommodation close to port, for those wishing to take this option.

DAY TWO Today we continue south across the border into Austria and to our hotel. Arriving in the afternoon, the rest of the day is at leisure. Those who have booked an evening meal will be served in the hotel’s restaurant.

DAY THREE After breakfast, enjoy an included full-day visit to Innsbruck where you can explore the city’s famous sights, including the ‘Little Golden Roof’, the Old Town and its celebrated Christmas Markets. Discover an abundance of gift ideas including woodcarvings, cut crystal and delicate silver filigree. It is also the place to buy native Tyrolean dress, particularly Lederhosen. This afternoon, join our optional excursion which takes us along the beautiful Brenner Pass, over Europa Bridge, to the little Italian town of Vipiteno, where you can indulge in some classic Italian shopping, before rejoining our coach for the return journey to the hotel.

DAY FOUR Today, to make the most of your holiday, join our exciting included full-day excursion to experience the sights of Salzburg, Mozart’s birthplace and home to one of Austria's largest Christmas Markets. Upon return to the hotel, you will enjoy your evening meal in the hotel’s restaurant before enjoying the thrill of our optional evening sleigh ride through the snow.

DAY FIVE After breakfast, join our optional Rattenburg & Swarovski Crystal excursion? You’ll stop firstly at attractive Rattenburg for a morning to explore, and then continue on for a visit and guided tour to Swarovski Crystal Museum. On arrival back at the hotel, the optional evening meal will be served to those who have booked.

DAY SIX Bid farewell to Austria’s Tyrolean winter wonderland and begin our journey home. En route we will stop in Munich, Germany’s Bavarian capital, for time at leisure to explore this Olympic city.

DAY SEVEN We continue our journey to Calais where we will join the 5.00am ferry/Eurotunnel crossing to Dover/Folkestone. Upon arrival you will be returned to your original point of departure.

Please note: depending upon crossing times allocated it is possible coach pick-ups may be in the evening of the previous day and coach drop offs may be in the early morning of the following day.
