 Strasbourg & Black Forest Christmas river cruise itineraryDay 1 Breisach Selected early morning pick-ups and journey to Dover/Folkestone for the 7.00am ferry/Eurotunnel crossing to Calais. Alternatively, join at port or at the Holiday Inn Ashford North. On arrival, journey to the charming town of Breisach at the foot of the Kaiserstuhl, where you will join MS Hispania in time for a welcome drink. The evening is at leisure in Breisach. Day 2 Breisach - Basle Christmas Eve: during breakfast, we’ll cruise to the vibrant Swiss city of Basle, the only place in this landlocked country with access to any of Europe’s coasts. In the afternoon, join an included excursion to Basle’s fantastic Christmas markets, before returning to the vessel for Christmas Eve dinner on board. Day 3 Basle - Breisach Christmas Day: while you enjoy your breakfast, we will cruise back to Breisach, arriving around lunchtime. Celebrate Christmas in style on board, with an included a five-course lunch, followed by coffee and cakes. In the afternoon, join our included Black Forest panorama tour. Day 4 Breisach - Strasbourg Boxing Day: before you awake, our vessel slips gently out of Breisach on its way to Strasbourg and its wonderful Christmas markets. Join us on the included excursion to visit the magical shops and stalls at this most romantic time of year. Wander through the cobbled streets of ‘Petite France’ and discover old-timbered houses and pretty canals to rival any in Venice or Bruges. In the evening, enjoy dinner on board before perhaps venturing out to sample the vibrant nightlife Strasbourg has to offer. Day 5 Strasbourg Bid farewell to the vessel and journey to Calais in time for the return 5.30pm ferry/Eurotunnel crossing to Dover/Folkestone. Upon arrival you will be returned to your original point of departure. Timings are correct at time of publish but may be subject to change.
