 Switzerland & Black Forest Twixmas Rhine river cruise itineraryDay 1 Breisach Selected early morning pick-ups and journey to Dover/Folkestone for the 7.00am ferry/Eurotunnel crossing to Calais. Alternatively, join at port or at the Holiday Inn Ashford North. On arrival in Calais, your coach will continue through France, Belgium and Germany to the charming town of Breisach at the foot of the Kaiserstuhl where you’ll join cruise vessel MS Hispania in time for your welcome drink and included three-course evening meal. Day 2 Breisach - Basle While you enjoy breakfast, we will cruise peacefully to the vibrant Swiss city of Basle. This afternoon you have time at leisure to discover Basle, which offers a delightful blend of ancient and modern buildings and attractions, boasting a well preserved old town, Switzerland’s oldest university, lively bars and superb restaurants. We also include a visit to Mulhouse Christmas markets, close to the Swiss/German border, where you’ll find a wonderful selection of traditional food, gifts and decorations. Day 3 Basle - Breisach During breakfast, our vessel begins its gentle cruise back to Breisach, arriving around lunchtime. After lunch join our included tour of the magical Black Forest, which will take you past Feldberg Mountain, the highest point in the Forest, to visit a cuckoo clock factory. Day 4 Breisach After breakfast, we disembark and join the coach for our journey back to Calais and the 8.00pm ferry/Eurotunnel crossing to Dover/Folkestone. Upon arrival you will be returned to your original point of departure. Due to the popularity of this cruise the itinerary may operate in an alternate order.
