Day 1 Join the flight to Dallas. Transfer to Waco, nicknamed ‘Six Shooter’, for a one-night stay.
Day 2 Travel to Austin, the Texas state capital. As well as free time, enjoy an included visit to the Bob Bullock Texas State Museum. Continue to the Y. O. Ranch Resort near San Antonio for three nights.
Day 3 Join our included city tour of beautiful San Antonio, with a visit to the famous Alamo, where 189 brave defenders finally succumbed to the superior forces of Mexican General Santa Anna in 1836.
Day 4 Don’t miss our stunning scenic tour of beautiful Texas hill Country and wine country, with visits to the picturesque Fredericksburg and bodacious Bandera, the cowboy capital of the world.
Day 5 Northwards through old Comanche country to Fort Worth for three nights, a historic saloon-filled city and gateway to the mythical American West.
Day 6 Walk in the footsteps of JR, Sue Ellen, Bobby, Miss Ellie et al on a terrifically nostalgic optional excursion to Southfork. The optional evening In Texas includes a night of unbridled western-style fun.
Day 7 Go wild at the Fort Worth Stockyards with our excellent optional excursion, including a ride on the famous Tarantula steam train.
Day 8 Morning visit to Dallas. You’ll be able to explore the historic West End, and visit the Sixth Floor Museum, from which John F Kennedy was supposedly shot from the Book Depository. Later this evening, transfer to airport for an overnight flight to the UK.
Day 9 Arrival in the UK.
