 Twixmas in Amsterdam ItineraryDAY ONE Your Twixmas break starts with selected coach pick-ups* and transfer to Dover/ Folkstone for your 9.00am ferry/Eurotunnel crossing to Calais. We also offer overnight hotel accommodation close to port for those who would prefer this option**. Upon arrival, journey to your 4: hotel, where arrival will be in the early evening. There’ll be time to freshen up before our included return evening transfer into the centre of Amsterdam. A stroll in any direction from the brightly-illuminated Dam Square is particularly enchanting, especially through the Leidseplein and its surrounding area or towards the Jordaan, which is full of cosy cafes and unique shops. Whatever you do, don’t miss the fantastic sparkling city cruise optional excursion. DAY TWO After breakfast, join the coach for the transfer into Amsterdam for a full day at leisure. Soak up the vibrant atmosphere, sample the fantastic local cuisine, explore the many architectural delights in this cosmopolitan city, and check out the flea and street markets, fantastic antique shops, trendy and exclusive boutiques, jewellery outlets, and even stylish novelty stores. You may wish to join our Dutch capital optional excursion, which will take you to see the famous sights of Amsterdam, and even includes a trip to a diamond factory. Later this evening, you’re invited to dinner at the romantic Sea Palace restaurant floating in Amsterdam’s harbour; an optional excursion too good to decline. DAY THREE Today, after breakfast, we depart our hotel and begin our return journey homewards, making an en route stop in Bruges, with free time to explore this wonderful city. Later this afternoon, rejoin the coach and head to Calais and a hypermarket/wine warehouse (time permitting) for the chance to stock up on continental goodies before your 6.30pm crossing back to the UK. Upon arrival, we’ll transfer to your original pick-up point. *Depending on where in the UK your departure and return point is, some pick-ups may depart late evening on the night before departure and return early hours of the morning on the day after your return date. **Join at overnight hotel We are delighted to offer overnight hotel accommodation° at the Holiday Inn Ashford North from just £31, per person, per night, based on shared occupancy of a twin/double room on a bed and breakfast basis.
