 Vancouver, Banff & the Rockies itineraryDay 1 Join the direct flight to Vancouver. Transfer to our centrally located hotel for a three-night stay in one of the few cities on the edge of a great wilderness, with Vancouver’s downtown skyline surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and vast snow covered mountains. Over the next few days, head to the mighty Pacific Centre, a retail colossus which covers over three city blocks, bustling Public Market, the shops of Granville Island, or cobbled Gastown with its pubs and antique shops. Day 2 Enhance your time in Vancouver with an excellent optional excursion that includes Gastown, the spectacular Capilano Suspension Bridge and scenic Grouse Mountain. Day 3 Join the optional full-day tour of Vancouver Island, which includes a visit to The Butchart Gardens. Day 4 We leave Vancouver today, with our coach taking us through dramatic mountain scenery to Sun Peaks Resort for a one-night stay. Day 5 This morning you’ll head to the magnificent National Park of Jasper for a one-night stay. Day 6 Depart Jasper, travel along the spectacular Icefields Parkway and visit Lake Louise probably the most photographed scene in the Canadian Rockies with its turquoise waters set against the stunning backdrop of Victoria Glacier. We continue to the Rocky Mountain National Park of Banff for a two-night stay. Day 7 Today you are at leisure to enjoy the delights of Banff, home to stunning mountains and wild animals. Choose from outstanding optional excursions including Sulphur Mountain, Surprise Corner viewpoint and helicopter rides. Day 8 This morning we transfer to Calgary for the overnight flight to the UK.
